Silverstone Auctions presents an opportunity to purchase RHD Ferraris and a chance to see Ferrari prices in the UK

    575M MARANELLO F1 RHD, VIN ZFFBT55C000130114 (2002). Giallo Fly with nero leather. Estimate: £90,000 to £100,000. Supplied new to British rock legend, Eric Clapton, in March 2003, by Maranello Sales. Eric has signed the service book which was a request at the time by its second owner, TV personality and Virgin radio star, Chris Evans, who acquired the car direct from Eric and kept it until 2010. So, two celebrity early provenance before being owned by Silverstone Auctions MD, Nick Whale. Our vendor acquired this car from Silverstone Auctions in July 2011, at a mileage of 10,000. Today’s mileage is 18,318 and the service history is complete. Factory fitted options were: Fiorano Handling kit 2, Satellite navigation, interior carbon pack including dashboard, center console, door trims, F1 paddles, seat sides and entry sills, hi-fi system with subwoofer, rear parcel shelf finished in leather, yellow brake calipers, Scuderia shields and a Tubi exhaust. Detailed history file including full service history. Recent service conducted by Dick Lovett in August 2019, at 18,155 miles. Supplied with factory battery conditioner, original book pack with all service and handbooks, factory toolkit in its original leather cases and a factory car-cover. Current MOT valid until late September 2021. Lot 211. Sold for £92,250.

 

 

    612 SCAGLIETTI F1 RHD, VIN ZFFAY54C000155493 (2007). Grigio Silverstone with nero leather. Estimate: £60,000 to £70,000. Daytona seats, Scuderia shields, leather diamond pattern headliner and factory-fitted HGTS. 16,471 miles with full service history and in immaculate condition. Two private owners. Lot 204. Sold for £73,125.

 

 

    599 GTB FIORANO F1 RHD, VIN ZFFFD60C000158209 (2008). Grigio Silverstone with nero leather. Estimate: £105,000 to £120,000. Supplied new by H.R. Owen, London, on February 1st, 2008. Well optioned by the first owner. Carbon-ceramic brakes, carbon fiber driving zone, Scuderia shields, 20” Monolithic alloy wheels and electric Recaro Daytona seats in black leather. Prior to purchase by the vendor in 2014, the car was owned by legend Eric Clapton. Servicing and maintenance has been carried out at the regular intervals by Ferrari dealers. Leather-cased book packs and stamped service book, a hard-cover book titled “Ferrari 599 Fiorano”, historical invoices, battery trickle charger and a selection of Eric Clapton books and DVDs. MOT is valid until 28th February 2022. 19,500 miles. Lot 226. Sold for £107,500.

 

 

    599 GTO, VIN ZFF70RDJ000179278 (2011). Rosso corsa with nero interior. Estimate: £380,000 to £480,000. Just over 1,600 miles. Rosso Corsa paintwork, Grigio Silverstone Opaco roof, full Alcantara interior with Tessuto inserts, rosso stitching, stitched prancing horses and rosso harnesses. Original and complete book-pack, Classiche certified, covers, radio/key code cards and spare key. Serviced by the Cornes dealership of Japan, then DK Engineering and Dick Lovett Ferrari in the UK. Bought by our vendor in 2015. Lot 228. Sold for £399,375.

 

 

    246 GT, S/N 01514 (1971). Rosso with nero interior. Estimate: £200,000 to £240,000. Delivered new to its first customer in Rome in 1971. Original engine, gearbox and color scheme. It arrived in the UK during March, 2015, and immediately joined our vendor’s private collection. A NOVA was obtained clarifying that all UK taxes and duties had been paid, but the car has never been registered in the UK. History file shows whilst living in Germany, the Dino was treated to a three-part restoration between 1997 and 1999, addressing bodywork, suspension and paintwork with invoices. It also confirms a complete engine rebuild in 2014 with very little use since. Lot 227. Sold for £202,500.

 

 

    246 GTS RHD, S/N 06098 (1973). Red with beige leather seats. Estimate: £225,000 to £255,000. Ordered through H.R. Owen, and supplied via Maranello Concessionaires Ltd., Surrey, in April 1973. Originally in Blu Scuro with beige leather interior and electric windows. History file goes into more ownership and maintenance detail from 1984. Engine and gearbox rebuild in November 1986. Gearbox and body numbers match factory records. The engine number is yet to be established (as of May 2021) although the history file shows no indication of a replacement engine. In November 1986, MOT Certificate recorded 48,432 miles. Current odometer reading is 49,800 miles. The body shows signs of blistering beneath the paint in a number of places. Supplied with a history file showing period receipts, copy order forms and build records from the Ferrari archives, historical MOTs, yellow tire chock and old blue logbook. Lot 230. Sold for £213,750.

 

 

    246 GTS RHD, S/N 07750 (1974). Nocciola with pelle nero. Estimate: £375,000 to £425,000. One of 72 to leave Maranello in this color. Originally supplied through Automobile Specialists Pte Ltd., Singapore, to the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia, with only two custodians since. Extensive restoration by Italia Autosport (2016 - 2018) with original interior still in place. Classiche certification in 2017 at 42,301 miles, recorded mileage now 43,650. Lot 216. Sold for £388,125.

 

 

    308 GTB RHD, S/N 24823 (1978). Red with black interior. Estimate: £45,000 to £55,000. Dates from March 1978 and has been enjoyed by just six owners, its present since July 2011. The current custodian invested to restore the 308’s bodywork, including repair panels to lower parts of door skins and door casings, lower parts of front wings between wheel arches and doors and repairs to the wheel arches. A full photographic record is in the car’s history file. At 74,000 miles, a major engine and gearbox rebuild was carried out. This work included, new valves, new valve guides, valve seats re-cut, and the cylinder heads skimmed. New liners, pistons and rings were fitted. New main bearing, and big-end shells were fitted. New synchro-rings were fitted to all gears in the gearbox. Timing belts, clutch, HT leads and various smaller items including fastenings and seals were all replaced at the time of the build. Currently showing 76,000 miles. Original toolkit and jack in their leather bags, original driver’s handbook and the service book which displays six service stamps from 1978 when the car was sold new until 1982. Invoices for service, repairs and MOTs from 1982 up to the present time are contained in a large lever-arch file. Lot 205. Sold for £65,813.

 

 

    F355 BERLINETTA RHD, VIN ZFFPR41C000103186 (1995). Black with black and gray interior. Estimate: £85,000 to £95,000. Carbon bucket seat option. 17,500 miles. In 2018, it was released from storage and subjected to a complete mechanical overhaul from front to back. This included cambelt, pulleys and tensioner, clutch and clutch bearings, front and rear brakes, period correct front and rear tires, water pump and ancillary belts and hoses. Recent service in May 2019. Invoices in the owner’s file. Lot 229. Sold for £90,000.

 

 

    F430 F1 RHD, VIN ZFFEZ58C000148988 (2006). Rosso corsa with nero leather. Estimate: £90,000 to £100,000. Sold new by Maranello Sales of Sevenoaks in Kent to the late TV chef Gary Rhodes in July 2006. In July 2017 it was sold by Silverstone Auctions to our current vendor with 558 miles. Mileage today is 1,313 miles. Options specified are yellow calipers, 6-disc CD changer, pre-wiring for a battery charger, electric seats, red stitching, Scuderia shields, rear park-distance control, Challenge Stradale wheels, carbon driving zone, carbon engine bay trim, a space-saver wheel, Pirelli tires, yellow rev counter and NavTrac. Servicing has been regular including cam belts carried out in 2009,2013,2015 and 2016 by Lancaster Colchester, 2017 by FTech Engineering and in August 2019, by Dick Lovett at 1,177 miles. Original leather book pack, factory toolkit, car cover, battery charger and an MOT valid until late August 2021. Lot 212. Sold for £95,063.

 

 

    458 ITALIA RHD, VIN ZFF67NHC000174340 (2010). Rosso Vinaccia with Grigio Chiaro interior. Estimate: £100,000 to £120,000. Ordered new by collector and celebrity Chris Evans. Optioned with racing seats, carbon fiber steering wheel with LEDs, Scuderia shields, adaptive front lights system, carbon fiber center bridge and Alcantara headliner. In 2012, it was sold to Sir Chris Hoy MBE, Great Britain’s multi-Olympic Gold Medal winning cyclist. In 2017, it was purchased by a customer at our NEC Classic Car Auction. 16,124 miles. Full Ferrari main dealer history. Prior to the auction, it will have a dealer service and four new tires fitted in accordance with the ‘Life’ dated program. Complete with manuals, service book, Ferrari car cover and battery conditioner. Lot 206. Sold for £120,375.
