250 GT LWB BERLINETTA TdF, S/N 0933 GT (1958). Originally Oro Chiaro with Bordeaux leather, now again in Oro Chiaro with Cognac leather installed. Estimate $3.5 million to $4.5 million. Sold new on 17 June 1958, to two-time Italian National Road Racing Champion Casimiro “Miro” Toselli of Turin. After several hillclimbs, Toselli traveled to the Venezuelan Grand Prix. Run as a 754-kilometer point-to-point road race across poorly maintained dirt roads. Toselli finished the race in 4th place among a coterie of 250 TdF variants. It appears he sold 0933 GT to Lino Fayen, the Ferrari agent in Caracas, Venezuela, who brokered the car to Mauricio Marcotulli. From January through October 1959, Marcotulli entered it in at least six top-tier sports car road races. Following its sale to Ugo Tosa in late 1959 he entered the car in the first round of the 1960 World Sportscar Championship at the 1000 Kilometers of Buenos Aires. It competed in further endurance races between Argentina, Colombia, and Venezuela. In early 1961, Lino Fayen purchased the car from Tosa and brought it back to France from Venezuela. A dispute between Fayen and the French tax authorities resulted in tax agents seizing the car. The car remained in storage for five years, until October 1966. It was purchased and collector Pierre Bardinon quickly pried chassis away. From 1975 through 1983 Bardinon retained it in his collection. From 1997 through 2001, it was cosmetically refinished in its original Oro Chiaro and treated to a mechanical restoration by Terry Hoyle Racing Engineers. The engine block currently fitted is an unstamped correct-type unit believed to be a period factory replacement installed in Caracas. This replacement block is still fitted to the original timing case. Additionally, historian Jess Pourret notes it was fitted with upgraded engine components by the factory sometime around 1960. Since entering the consignor’s collection in 2006, the car has been maintained by a private mechanic. Accompanied by copies of its Automobile Club d’Italia estratto, Massini and Keith Bluemel reports, restoration invoices, historic imagery and correspondence, books, tool kit, and original Rosso Bordeaux leather upholstery. Lot 160. Sold for $3.77 million.

365 GTC/4, S/N 15471 (1972).  Originally Oro Kelso with beige leather, a bare-metal color change to black, along with a retrim in black leather, was completed in August 1978. Estimate $125,000 to $150,000. Completed in April 1972, equipped with power windows and air conditioning. Imported to America and sold via Modern Classic Motors. By the late-1970s, it was owned by Hollywood talent agent Michael Ovitz, with a talent roster including Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, and Sylvester Stallone. Serviced by Hollywood Sports Cars well into the mid-1980s. He sold it to one of his top clients, Sylvester Stallone. Stallone continued to have service at Hollywood Sports Cars before parting ways with it in the late-1980s. The car passed through several owners before being acquired by the consignor’s father in 1992. A 2024 service by Tom Yang included a new exhaust center section, motor mounts, and alternator rebuild. Service records, an assortment of tools, and one spare Cromodora alloy rim. 41,585 miles. Lot 143. Sold for $182,000.

By 1974, it was acquired by a Mr. Bongiorno of New York City, through early 1976. In May 1976 the Dino was sold to John Nargesian, and his family retained possession of the car through May 2002. It was then acquired by the consignor. Over the next 20 years, the owner sympathetically restored the car. Service logbook on file spanning 2002 to 2023. The owner initially repainted the car in Rosso, but in 2022 he commissioned a refinish in the proper factory-original color of Rosso Rubino. The windshield was replaced, but all other glass is believed to remain original. The “mouse hair” dashboard and the carpeting remain original, re-trimmed seats in full beige leather.
